Welcome: Problem and Solution
I have dedicated most of my life to my body in some way or another, and in that time I have been surrounded by people in a similar path (athletes, trainers, therapists of sorts, etc) or that for some reason find themselves in this context (clients, media, coaches, etc). In all this time I have found that some people may have some specific physical issues, but for the most part we share a set of discomforts, they main ones being somewhere in the cervical region (lower back is also commonly shared, for which I will make a separate program).
There are reasons for this, main one being that evolution isn't necessarily an intelligent process. Every adaptation comes with a potential downside. Being bipedal (walking on 2 legs) has allowed for many advantages, but it is rife with mechanical imperfections.
With the arms hanging out on our sides we have landed for us a situation in which the traps are perpetually stressed, whether we contract them to hold up our arms, or they are simply being tensed by the weight of our arms, they are hardly every truly disengaged and relaxed.
Same goes for the neck. Our head is a dead weight being not so skillfully balanced on top of our body, what keeps it from falling in any direction? Well there are muscles and respective tendons in place to take care of that duty.
How often do we perform any sort of work to maintain and improve these tissues? Rarely...? Never...? That's what this is about. In this 14-day, 1-2 month program the following will be the goal:
- Develop the necessary tissue quality to achieve well-being
- Create an awareness of the deficiencies
- Have the confidence that you now have the tools to perform a sort of hygiene to control chronic pain
- PLACE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR WELL-BEING IN YOUR OWN HANDS
From a 5 minute workout at the beginning to a 25 minute workout to end, the effort required isn't life disrupting. Health is within reach. Good luck and do not forget to share with your friends and loved ones if this helps you. Lets take care of each other.
Thank you and enjoy!!!
